Bihar Diaries
Based on the enormously well-liked book “Bihar Diaries,” the web series “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter” is incredibly popular with viewers. In his very first attempt, Amit Lodha cleared the UPSC exam. Inspired by his grandfather, he accomplished this feat at the age of just 25. Before joining the Bihar cadre, he served in Rajasthan. Due to his close relationships with prominent individuals, he gained celebrity status among IPS officers. He was known to encourage distressed individuals to call him directly on his landline number.
Amit Lodha has already published two books. His book “Bihar Diaries” details his experiences and incidents during his tenure in the Bihar Police. He specifically mentions the story of apprehending the notorious gangster Amit Mahato, although Mahato’s name isn’t directly mentioned. Amit Lodha earned accolades for his valor in capturing Ashok Mahato and his accomplice Pintu Mehta, who were involved in the murder of two police officers, the escape of 15 inmates from jail, and several other cases. He has been honored with the President’s Police Medal, the Police Medal, and the Internal Security Medal for this achievement.
This book has now been adapted into a web series titled “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.” However, the series is currently mired in controversy. In 2021, Amit Lodha published his second book, “Life in the Uniform,” where he describes his journey through the UPSC examination process.
